SUMMER HOCKEY LEAGUE
REFUND POLICY
1. GENERAL POLICY
All registration fees are non-refundable, except as expressly set out in this Refund Policy.
By registering for the Event, Participants agree to this Refund Policy.
2. PARTICIPANT WITHDRAWAL
2.1 Withdrawal More Than 10 Days Before the Event
Participants who withdraw at least 10 days prior to the Event may request:
- A partial refund, or
- A transfer of their place to another participant, subject to approval by the Organisers
Any refund issued may be subject to a reasonable administration fee.
2.2 Withdrawal Within 10 Days of the Event
No refunds will be issued for withdrawals within 10 days of the Event, including but not limited to:
- Injury
- Illness
- Personal circumstances
At the Organisers’ discretion, a replacement participant may be permitted.
3. NON-ATTENDANCE
Failure to attend the Event (including late arrival or withdrawal on the day) will result in:
- No refund
- No credit
4. EVENT CANCELLATION BY ORGANISERS
4.1 Cancellation (Including Low Participation)
The Event is subject to a minimum number of participants.
The Organisers reserve the right to cancel the Event where:
- Sufficient participation is not achieved, or
- It is reasonably necessary due to safety, operational, or other valid reasons
In the event of cancellation, Participants will be offered:
- A full refund, or
- A transfer to a rescheduled Event (if applicable)
4.2 Notice of Cancellation
The Organisers will aim to provide notice of cancellation in advance where reasonably practicable.
4.3 Limitation of Liability
The Organisers shall not be liable for any additional costs incurred by Participants, including:
- Travel
- Accommodation
- Other associated expenses
except where required by law.
5. EVENT INTERRUPTION OR MODIFICATION
If the Event is:
- Shortened
- Delayed
- Interrupted
- Or partially completed
due to circumstances beyond the Organisers’ control (including weather or safety concerns),
no refunds (full or partial) will be issued.
6. FORCE MAJEURE
The Organisers shall not be responsible for cancellation, delay, or modification of the Event due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including:
- Severe weather
- Venue unavailability
- Government restrictions
- Health and safety concerns
In such cases, refunds or credits may be offered at the Organisers’ discretion.
7. TRANSFERS AND SUBSTITUTIONS
Participants may request to:
- Transfer their place to another eligible participant
Such requests must:
- Be submitted in advance
- Be approved by the Organisers
The Organisers reserve the right to refuse transfers where necessary to protect the integrity or safety of the Event.
8. REFUND PROCESSING
Approved refunds will:
- Be processed within a reasonable timeframe
- Be issued via the original payment method where possible
9. STATUTORY RIGHTS
Nothing in this Refund Policy affects your statutory rights under Irish law.
